John C. L. Cross, age 89, formerly of 546 Ary court SW,  a retired municipal employee of the city of Grand Rapids passed away Monday evening at the Lafayette Convalescent home following a long illness. He is survived by l niece,  Mrs. Edward Ustel of Ransomville, JY; l stepson Kenneth Champagne and 2 step grandchildren Karen and Kathryn Champagne all of Grand Rapids.
Mrs. Cross reposes at the Vanderpool Chapel of Godwin Heights where funeral services will be held Thurs. at l.30 pm with Rev. Martin Brower officiating. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may meet the family Tues and Weds. from 7 -9.
